hundred citizens of Allegany county, in favor of an immedi-
ate adjournment of the Legislature sine die;

Mr. Kessler presented the petition of John Ritchie, Dr.
William Waters, John A. Lynch and two hundred and thirty-
eight other citizens of Frederick county against the adjourn-
ment of the Legislature sine die;

Which were read and severally referred to the joint select
committee on adjournment.

Mr. Sangston presented the memorial of Charles Murdock,
asking relief from his contract with the Maryland Peniten-
tiary;

Also, the petition of John H. Duvall and William Howard,
asking relief from their contract with the Maryland Peniten-
tiary;

Which were read.
