The bill entitled, an act to amend the IVth article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, by adding the following sections
relating to the purchase and government of Druid Hill and
Patterson Parks, belonging to the city of Baltimore; being
upon its second reading,

Mr. Denison proposed the following amendment;

SECTION 5. Be it further enacted, That the Park Commis-
sioners of Druid Hill Park, be and that they are hereby
obliged to open two gates, not less than twelve feet wide, with
roads through said Park into Baltimore county, one into the
Hookstown road at or near the intersection of Woodbury lane,
and the other into Woodbury lane at or near the North-east-
ern corner of the Park; and in default of said Commission-
ers opening said gates within the space of ninety days from
the day that this act takes effect, then all the provisions of
this act shall be null and void.

The question being upon its adoption, the yeas and nays
were ordered, and appeared as follow;
