Mr. Gordon submitted the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

June 8, 1861,
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose that a Joint Committee of three members of
the Senate and three members of the House be appointed, to
take into consideration the propriety of an adjournment of the
General Assembly and the time of such adjournment, and to
report to the respective Houses, and we appoint Messrs.

on the part of this House.

two Houses adjourn sine die on Monday next, June 10, at 2
o'clock P. M.;'
