Laws of tins State, relating to the inspection of hay and straw
in the city of Baltimore;

The Speaker appointed Messrs, Wilson, Quinlan und
Brown, as said committee.

On motion of Mr. Worthington,

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to in-
troduce a bill for the benefit of the Baltimore and Liberty
Turnpike company,

Mr. McIntire offered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

June 5, 1861.

Gecntlemen of the Senate:

We propose, with your consent, to adjourn sine die, on
Saturday next, the 8th inst., at 3 o'clock, P, M.

Chief Clerk, pro tem
Which was read:

On motion of Mr. Chaplain,
The same was laid upon the table.
Ou motion of Mr. Wallis,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill to amend the 16th article of the Code of Public
Local Laws, in the matter of the selection of Jurors in the
city of Baltimore..

On motion of Mr. Wallis,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Board of Police of the city of Bal-
timore to suspend the sale of liquors in said city, when the
same may be necessary for the preservation of the public peace.

On motion of Mr. Scott,

Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means in
bring in a bill entitled, au act to amend the 18th article of
the Code of General Laws, by adding thereto a section in re-
lation to the compensation of the Clerks of the several Circuit
courts of this State, and the Clerks of the Superior court and
Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore city,
