had discharged that duty, and bad been informed by the Gov-
ernor, he had no communication to make at present.

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled, an act to amend article XVI of the
Code of Public General Laws, by adding thereto a section
relative to affidavits on motion to dissolve injunctions.

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled, an act to amend article V of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to exceptions of Audi-
tor's reports.

On motion of Mr. Briscoe,

Leave was granted a select committee to introduce a bill
repealing an act providing for the disposal of the State's To-
bacco Warehouses, passed January session, 1860, chap. 225.

The Speaker appointed Messrs. Briscoe, Warfield, Macku-
bin, Compton and Bryan, as said committee.

On motion of Mr. Pitts,

Leave was granted a select .committee to introduce a bill
entitled, a further additional supplement to an act entitled,
an act to establish and incorporate a Medical and Chemical
faculty or society in the State of Maryland;

Messrs. Pitte, Wilson, of Harford, and Goldsborough, were
appointed as said committee.

On motion of Mr. Briscoe,

Leave was granted to the Calvert delegation to introduce
a bill to amend the 31st section of Article V of the Public
Local Laws of this State, relating to the compensation of
Jurors of Call ert county.

On motion of Mr. Bayless,

Leave was granted to the Harford and Cecil delegations to
report & bill to exempt the citizens of Ceciland Howard coun-
ties on the head waters of the Chesapeake Bay, from the pro-
visions of the 1st to the 12th sections inclusive, of article
XLVIII of Public General Laws, relating to wild fowls.

On motion of Mr. Wilson,

Leave was granted to a special committee to report a bill to
amend the 412th section of article IV of the Code of Local
