Wednesday next, in reply we respectfully suggest that there
are various measures of public importance yet not finally
acted on, and which, in our judgment, should be acted upon
before the adjournment. We., therefore, respectfully propose
the appointment of a joint committee of conference to consist
of four members of the Senate and four members of the House
to confer and report in regard to the unfinished business, and
also in regard to the time of adjournment.
We have appointed Messrs. Yellot, Goldsborough, of Dor-
chestor, Townsend and Duvall on the part of the Senate, as.
said committee.

Mr. Harding proposed the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
May 13,1861.
GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE :
We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a joint special committee of four members of each
House, to confer and report upon the time of adjournment,
&c. and respectfully concur therein, and have appointed as
said committee on the part of this House, Messrs. Harding,
Goldsborough, Winans and Morgan.

Mr. Landing offered the following:
Ordered, That the Adjutant General be and he is hereby
directed to furnish Worcester county, without delay, with
sixty Minie rifles, being a part of the arms directed to be pur-
chased out of the appropriation of $70,000, made at the last
session of the General Asembly to arm the State. Bond to
be given as required by law.
Which was adopted.
