The following communication with accompanying paper,
was received from the Executive, by the hands of Thomas J,
Wilson, Esq.

STATE OF MARYLAND

EXECUTIVE CHAMBER,
Frederick City, May 10, 1861.

Gentlemen of the House o/Delegates :

I herewith transmit to your honorable body a copy of a
letter from the President of the Western Maryland Railroad,
in reference to the seizure of engines and cars belonging to
that road, by a number of persons from Baltimore.

Also a copy of a letter complaining of outrages committed
by Virginia troops on our soil.

Also a petition from sundry citizens of Montgomery county,
asking for protection for transportation of produce to the
District of Columbia.
