On motion of Mr. Yellott,

The joint resolutions relating to the appointmant of a commit-
tee to wait on the President of the United States, the President
of the Southern Confederacy, the Governor of Pennsylvania, and
the Governor of Virginia,

Were taken up.

Mr. Stone moved a call of the Senate, when the following
Senators answered to their names :
