The question was taken on the amendment as offered by Mr.
Goldsborough, of Dorchester.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Blackistone, Kimmel,

Bradley, McKaig,

Duvall, Nuttle,

Gardiner, Smith,

Goldsborough, of Dor.; Stone,

Heckart, Watkins—12.

NEGATITE.

So the Senate adopted the amendment.
Mr. Blackistone offered the following

ADDITIONAL SECTION.

SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That the counties of Kent, Caroline,
and Montgomery, be exempted from the provisions of this bill.

Mr. Dashiell offered the following amendment to the
AMENDMENT:

That all the counties and the city of Baltimore be exempted
from the provisions of this bill.

Mr. Yellott moved to lay the bill on the table.
