On motion of Mr. McKaig,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judicial Proceedings to
report a bill to authorize the Courts of this State to direct the
deposits of trust funds in the banks of this State.

The Senate adjourned.

MONDAY, August 5,1861.

On motion of Mr. Townsend,

A call of the Senate was ordered, when the following Senators
answered to their names:

Messrs. Brooke, President; Bradley, Duvall, Franklin, Gra-
hame, Goldsborough, of Talbot; Heckart, Stone, Townsend,
Watkins, Whitaker—11.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had noti-
fied the absent Senators that their attendance was required at the
Senate chamber.

On motion of Mr. Stone,

Ordered by the Senate, That the Committee on Claims pay to
John H. Keller, John A. Steiner and Lewis H. Burnelt, trustees
of Chippawa Tribe, No. 19, Improved Order of Red Men, fifteen
dollars per day for the use of their hall by the Senate, for each
day the Senate occupy said hall during July session.
