Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, offered the following resolution:

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Librarian be instructed to deliver to the Academies and Library
Associations of the different counties in the State any duplicate
copies of law and miscellaneous books as may in his judgment be
dispensed with, without prejudice to the interests of the State,
after a catalogue of said books now in said Library shall have
been made out.

Which was read the first time.
The Senate adjourned.

FRIDAY, August 2, 1861.

Mr. Stone offered the following order:

Ordered, That the "Orders as rules for the regulation of the
Senate," passed June 24th, 1861, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

On motion of Mr. Townsend,
The order was laid on the table.
Mr. Heckart offered the following order.

Ordered, That two hundred copies of the laws passed at the
late sessions of the Extra Session of the Legislature, and the
present session, be printed for the use of the Senate.
