288 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Aug. 1,

Mr. Lynch, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with amendment, the following House bill:

A bill, entitled, An act to to incorporate the Baltimore, Catons-
ville and Ellicott's Mills Passenger Rail Company.

AMENDMENT:

First section, fifth line, insert: "and not exceeding in length,
parallel with said road, one hundred yards, at and from Gwynn's
Falls, on said road."

Said amendment was concurred in.

The bill was then read the second time, and, by special order,
the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Kimmel,

Blackistone, Lynch,

Duvall, McKaig,

Franklin, Stone,

Goldsborough, of Talbot; Townsend,

Heckart, Whitaker—12.

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, An act to authorize the Council of the Mount
Zion Church, in Washington county, to dispose of certain real
estate;

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs. Stone,
Whitaker and Heckart.

A bill, entitled, An act to repeal the 46th section of Article 8th
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the collection of
taxes, fines and forfeitures in Chesapeake City;

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Heckart, Stone and
Whitaker.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to change the place of holding elections
in the Sixth District of Prince George's county;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays,"
