Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Lynch, from the Committee on Federal Relations, reported
favorably upon House Resolutions in relation to the recognition
of the Confederate States;

Which was read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the 88th Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, by repealing the 46th and 47th sections
thereof, and substituting the following therefor in relation to
Sheriffs;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

A bill, entitled, A supplement to an act, entitled, An act to
incorporate the Baltimore, Catonsville, and Ellicott's Mills Pas-
senger Railway Company, passed at Jannary session, 1860,
chapter 34;

Which was read and referred to the Committtee on Corpora-
tions.

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the 38th Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, by repealing the 2d section thereof, and
substituting therefor the following in relation to fees of officers;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

A bill, entitled, An act to make valid the acknowledgement of
a deed of leasehold ground in Baltimore city, from Louis Barie
to Louisa Delacave Marchand, and to admit the same to record;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

A bill, entitled, An act to authorize the Trustees of the Garri-
son Forest Academy, in Baltimore county, to transfer a lot of land
to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, in said
county;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.
