On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot,
The Message was laid on the table.
On motion of Mr. Lynch,

Ordered, That the President of the Senate appoint a Standing
Committee of seven on Federal Relations.

The Message of the Executive was then taken up, and,
On motion,

Was referred to the Committee on Federal Relations, here-
after to be appointed.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, from the committee appointed
to wait on the Clergy, made the following

REPORT:

The committee appointed to wait upon the Clergy of this city,
beg leave to report, that they have, in conjunction with a com-
mittee on the part of the House, performed the duty assigned to
them of inviting the pastors of the several denominations, in this
city, to officiate alternately every morning during the session of
this body. They have all kindly consented to render their ser-
vices, and the committee have distributed their labors according
to the plan herewith submitted.

Which was adopted.

The joint committee of the Senate and House of Delegates
respectfully request the Ministers named below to officiate upon
the days designated, in opening the session of their respective
Houses with prayer.
