Which Was read and referred to a special committee, consist-
ing of Messrs. Yellott, McKaig, Goldsborough, of Talbot, Wat-
kins and Whitaker.

On motion of Mr. Dashiell,
The Senate went into Executive Session.

On motion of Mr. Stone,
The Senate resumed Legislative business.
The Senate adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, May 1st, 1861.

Mr. Stone moved to reconsider the vote by which the Gover-
nor's message, in regard to the alteration of the Federal Consti-
tution, was referred.

On motion of Mr. Blackistone,

The roll was called, and the following Senators answered to
their names:

Messrs. Brooke, President; Blackistone, Bradley, Duvall,
Dashiell, Franklin, Grahame, Gardiner, Goldsborough, of Tal-
bot; Goldsborough, of Dorchester; Heckart, Kimmel, Lynch,
McKaig, Nuttle, Smith, Stone, Townsend, and Watkins.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had
notified the absent Senators that their presence was required.

The question was then taken upon the motion to reconsider,
Which was decided in the affirmative.
