Mr. Kimmel presented the following petitions:

Of C. Getzendanner, Joseph Groff, and sixty-two other citi-
zens of Frederick county, for the immediate adjournment of the
Legislature sine die.

Of George W. Troxell, and one hundred and eleven other citi-
zens of Emmittsburg district, for the immediate adjournment of
the Legislature sine die.

Of Joseph G. Miller, John C. Hardt, and eighteen other citi-
zens of Frederick county, for the immediate adjournment of the
Legislature sine die.

Which were severally read, and laid on the table

On motion of Mr. Blackistone,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judicial Proceedings to
report a bill, entitled, An act to amend the 33rd section of the
5th Article of

the Code of Public General Laws, relating to stay
of executions on judgments and decrees, passed on the 10th day
of May, 1861.

On motion of Mr. Blackistone,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judicial Proceedings to
report a bill, to add an additional section to the 93d Article of
of the Code of Public General Laws.

On motion of Mr. Kimmel,

Leave was granted Messrs. Kimmel, Smith, and Duvall to
report a bill, authorizing the Commissioners of Frederick
county, at their discretion, to purchase of Thomas H. O'Neal, for
the use of said county, all the field notes, plats, surveyor's books,
&c., now in his possession.

On motion of Mr. Duvall,

Leave was granted Messrs. Duvall, Smith, and Franklin to
report a bill, to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to the compensation of the Judges of the Orphans'
Court for Montgomery county.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted Messrs. Smith, Blackistone, and Whitaker
to report a bill, explanatory of the 25th section of the 38th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the fees
of Notaries Public.
