The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

June 5th, 1861.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message, proposing the appointment
of a joint special committee, to wait upon His Excellency, the
Governor, and inform him that the General Assembly has again
assembled and are ready to receive any communication he may
be pleased to make, and respectfully concur therein.

We have appointed Messrs. Maxwell, and Dennis, of Somerset,
as said committee on the part of the House.

Which was read.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, a further additional supplement to an act enti-
tled, An act to establish and incorporate a Medical and Chirurgi-
cal Faculty or Society in the State of Maryland;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

An act to amend the 4th Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to the city of Baltimore, by repealing the 50th
section of said Article, relating to the salary of the Overseer of
the Almshouse of Baltimore city ;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Finance.

A bill, entitled, An act to amend section 124 of Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the number of
Justices of the Peace and Constables for Dorchester county;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

The following message was received from His Excellency,
Governor Hicks, through the hands of G. Eichelberger, Esq.,
Secretary of State:
