Mr. Yellott, from a select committee, reported a bill, entitled,
An act to amend the nineteenth section relating to Banks of arti-
cle twelve, of the Code of Public General Laws.

Which was read the first time, and by special order, the second
and third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; McKaig, Smith, Yellott, Watkins,
Heckart, Townsend, Bradley, Dashiell, Goldsborough, of Tal-
bot; Blackstone, Whitaker, Nuttle, Kimmel, Miles, Duvall.

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
On motion of Mr. Yellott,

The rules were suspended so as to dispense with engrossing
paper during this extra session.

Mr. Kimmel submitted the following resolution :

Resolved, That the President and Directors of the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad Company, be requested to furnishfree passage
to the members of the General Assembly of Maryland, and the
officers of said bodies, during their extra session at Frederick
city.

Which was read and referred to a special committee, consist-
ing of Messrs. Yellott, McKaig, Goldsborough, of Talbot,
Watkins and Whitaker.

On motion of Mr. Townsend,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Yellott, McKaig, Goldsborough,
of Talbot, Watkins and Whitaker, to report a bill entitled, An
act to authorize the County Commissioners of Worcester county
to levy a sum of money to provide a police force for the protec-
tion of said county.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Dorchester,

Ordered, That three thousand copies of the joint address to
the people of Maryland, passed by the Senate, be printed forth-
with for the use of the Senate.

The Senate adjourned until four o'clock, P. M.
