Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
Also a bill, entitled,

An act to make valid the qualification of Tench Tilghman, as
Major General of the Second Division of Maryland Militia.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Militia.

Also a bill, entitled,

An act to ratify an amendment to the Constitution of the
United States.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on the Constitution.

Also a bill, entitled,

An act appropriating a sum of money for the payment of the
claims of John Murphy & Co., A. Henderson, Hugh McAleer,
Adams & Co.'s Express, Tyler Davis, E. West, G. & L. Mar-
kell & Co., A. H. Hager, H. C. Shipley, A. Fox, Quynn &
Ritter, and E. M. Shipley.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Finance.

The Senate adjourned until 4 o'clock, P. M.
