To publish
resolution.

shall contain the call for the election, its pur-
pose, the day when and the hours of the day
between which it is to be held, the qualifica-
tions of the persons who may vote thereat,
and that said election is to be held under and
subject to the provisions of this act; upon the
publication of such resolution under the hand
of the President of such managing convention
once at lease thirty days before the holding of
such election, in one or more newspapers pub-
lished in said city, the election called in such
resolution shall be held under and subject to
the provisions of this act, otherwise it shall
not be.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all persons
desirous of being voted for at such election as
delegates to any managing or nominating con-
vention, or as candidates for any State or mu-
nicipal office shall send in their names, the
names of the offices for which they are candi-
dates, and the amount of money that may be
assessed to them to defray the legitimate ex-
penses of the election by order of the manag-
ing convention under whose authority such
election is called to the executive committee
of such managing convention, which commit-

tee shall publish in one or more newspapers
published in said city, a list of the names of
the said candidates complying with the re-
quirements of this section, and opposite their
names the names of the offices for which they
are candidates at least three days before such
election; any person who fails to comply with
the requirements of this section, or who fails
to comply therewith in time to enable the exec-
utive committee to make the publication
herein required, shall not be voted for at said
election, and if any votes are cast for him they
shall not be counted.

Polls open.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all primary
elections held under the provisions of this
