LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC 4. And be it enacted. That any person
or persons who shall violate any of the pro-
visions of the first and second preceding sec-
tions of this law, or who shall aid or abet any
such person or persons in the violation of the
provisions of said sections, by furnishing a
boat or other vessel, or any craft whatsoever,
gun or guns and ammunition, to be used for
the purpose, shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor, and any person or persons so violating

the provisions of this law by shooting at, or
shooting wild fowl as aforesaid, and any per-
son or persons so aiding and abetting therein
by furnishing boat, vessel or craft, gun or guns
and ammunition, as aforesaid, shall pay a fine of
not less than one hundred and fifty dollars and
not more than three hundred dollars, to be re-
covered by action of debt before some Justice
of the Peace of Queen Anne's county or by in-
dictment in the Circuit Court of said county.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the Sheriff or
any Constable or any Commissioned Militia
Officer of Queen Anne's county, or any Com-
manding Officer of any one of the Oyster Po-
lice sloops or steamers, either upon view or
information derived from any other person, of
a violation of any of the provisions of this law,
shall be, and he or they are hereby authorized
and empowered and it is made his or their duty
to arrest and take into custody such person or

persons as aforesaid offending, and the boat-
man or other persons found in said boats, ves-
sels or other craft employed to carry such,
offender or offenders for the purpose of shoot-
ing at wild fowl contrary to the provisions of
this law; and also to take into possession the
boat, vessel or other craft so as aforesaid, used in
said violation of this law, together with the
gun or guns, ammunition and other traps and
furniture found on board said boat, vessel or
craft.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said of-
