SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 409.
AN ACT to regulate the shooting of wild fowl
in the waters of Chester river and its tribu-
taries, within the jurisdictional limits of
Queen Anne's county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That on and after the

passage of this act it shall not be lawful for
any person or persons, at any time during the
day or at night, by artificial light or otherwise,
in or over the waters of Chester river and its
tributaries, within the jurisdictional limits of
Queen Anne's county, to shoot at, or to shoot
any water-fowl bedded in flocks upon the
feeding or roosting grounds of said water-fowl,

or sitting, swimming, resting or feeding, singly
or in numbers of two or more, there or else-
where in, on or over said waters from any ves-
sel, boat, launch, canoe, tug, float or any craft
whatsoever.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall not
be lawful for any person or persons, at any
time during the day or at night, by artificial
light or otherwise, to shoot at, or to shoot any

feeding.

water-fowl flying above their feeding grounds
or elsewhere, over the waters aforesaid, within
the jurisdictional limits of Queen Anne's
county, from any vessel, boat, launch, tug,
canoe, float or any craft whatsoever.

Game flying.

SEC. 3. And be. it enacted, That the provisions
of this law shall not apply to or prohibit the
shooting of wild fowl from sink-boats as now
regulated by law
|
