of Trustees, which shall have and exercise all
the powers vested in the said The Benevolent
Society for the city and county of Baltimore,,
by its original act of incorporation, or by any
act amendatory thereof, or supplementary
thereto, and all the powers vested by law or by
the constitution or by-laws of said corporation,
in its Board of Trustees; and the members of
said Board of Trustees, so appointed in any
year, shall hold their respective offices and
perform the duties thereof until their respec-
tive successors are elected and qualified.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its pas-
sage.

CHAPTER 468.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commission-
ers for Dorchester county to appropriate a
sum of money to pay Daniel M. Henry, jr.,
State's Attorney for Dorchester county, and
Philemon B. Hopper, State's Attorney for
Queen Anne's county, for professional serv-
ices rendered in the case of State vs. John
Murray.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester county be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to pay-
to P. B. Hopper the sum of sixty dollars and
Daniel M. Henry, jr., the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars, or so much of said sums as

Counsel fees.

the said Commissioners may deem just and
proper, for services rendered in prosecuting
John Murray, indicted by the Grand Jury for
Dorchester county for murder, and which was
removed to Queen Anne's county for trial.
