LAWS OF MARYLAND.

193. Persons living within the corporate
limits of the city of Cumberland who shall be
summoned before any Justice of the Peace for
any of the election districts of said county

Attendance fee.

lying wholly or in part within the limits of
said city to testify in any criminal proceeding
pending before said Justices or who shall vol-
untarily appear without being summoned,
shall not be allowed, or receive any compen-
sation for such attendance.

Effective.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1886.

CHAPTER 466.

AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum of money
for the use of the Harbor and River Relief
Board of Baltimore city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of
the Treasury be and he is hereby instructed
to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer of the
State for the sum of ten thousand dollars as

Appropriation.

an appropriation on the part of the State for
the use and service of the Harbor and River
Relief Board of Baltimore city, for the sole
benefit of the ice-boat Maryland.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
