CHAPTER 461.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money as
additional compensation to Joshua W. Miles,
as State's Attorney for Somerset county, for
services in the case of the State of Mary-
land vs. John H. Williams, and also in the
case of the State of Maryland vs. Jas. Irving
Mills.
WHEREAS Joshua W. Miles, as State's Attor-
ney for Somerset county, rendered service in

the case of the State of Maryland vs. John H.
Williams, and also in the case of the State of
Maryland against Jas. Irving Mills, which
have not been adequately compensated, there-
fore;
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Worcester county are hereby
authorized and empowered to pay to Joshua
W. Miles the sum of one hundred and twenty-
five dollars, as additional compensation for

services rendered the State in the case of the
State against James Irving Mills, and the
County Commissioners of Somerset county
are hereby authorized and empowered to pay
to the said Joshua W. Miles the sum of one
hundred and twenty-five dollars, as additional
compensation for services rendered the State
in case of the State against John H. Williams.
