CHAPTER 426.

AN ACT to refund to the owners or captains
of vessels engaged in the business of catch-
ing oysters with scoop or dredge, for money
paid into the Treasury in excess of the.
amount due by them for State license for
the catching of oysters for the oyster season
of the year eighteen hundred and eighty-
four and eighteen hundred and eighty-five,
and to appropriate a sum of money for the
payment thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller
be and he is hereby directed to issue his war-
rants upon the Treasury for amounts of money
due the owners or captains of vessels licensed
to dredge oysters, who were required by chap-

ter five hundred and eighteen of the acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty-four, to take out
a license at the beginning of the oyster season
of eighteen hundred and eighty-four and eigh-
teen hundred and eighty- five, for the privilege
of dredging oysters in the waters of this State
for that season, but for which privilege for a
portion of said season they had already paid
a license to the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the amounts
