CHAPTER 422.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
Joseph Cromwell for services rendered the
militia of this State at the Yorktown Cen-
tennial celebration.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of
the State is hereby authorized and directed to
issue his warrant upon the State Treasurer in
favor of Joseph Cromwell, Esq., of the city of
Baltimore, for the sum of forty dollars, in pay-
ment for services rendered the militia of this
State at the Yorktown celebration.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 423.
A N ACT to prohibit the granting of licenses
for the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer, at or near the Emory
Grove Association of Baltimore city, near
Reistertown, in Baltimore county.
