CHAPTER 420.
AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for
the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors,
or lager beer at Buckeystown, Frederick
county, State of Maryland, or at any place
in Frederick county within two miles in
every direction from Buckeystown.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That hereafter it shall
not be lawful for the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Frederick county to issue license to
any person or persons to sell spirituous or fer-

mented liquors or lager been at Buckeystown,
or at any place in Frederick county, State of
Maryland, nearer than two miles in every di-
rection from Buckeystown, unless for medi-
cinal purposes and upon the prescription of a,
regular physician.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for every
violation of the provisions of the foregoing
section, the person or persons, on conviction of
the same, shall, for every offence, pay not less

dollars, and upon failure to pay the same, be
committed to the county Jail until paid or
discharged by due process of law; and one-half
of such penalty to go to the informer, and the
other half shall be applied as provided by law.
