CHAPTER 47.

AN ACT to authorize, empower, and direct
the County Commissioners of Montgomery
county, to refund to Mary V. Harding, only
child and heir-at-law of Francis Valdenar,
late of said county, deceased, certain sums
of money erroneously paid to said Commis-
sioners by the said Francis Valdenar.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery county, be and
they are hereby authorized, empowered, and
directed to refund and pay over to Mary V.
Harding, only child and heir-at-law of Fran-
cis Valdenar, late of said county, deceased,

the sum of one hundred and thirty-five dol-
lars and twenty-nine cents, being money
which the said Francis Valdenar paid to the
said County Commissioners of Montgomery
county, for county taxes on account of the er-
roneous assessment by said County Commis-
sioners to him, of property in said county
that should have been assessed to Joseph F.
Burr, for the years eighteen hundred and
sixty-nine, eighteen hundred and seventy,
eighteen hundred and seventy-one, eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, eighteen and sev-
enty-three and eighteen hundred and seventy-
four, inclusive.
