said election on the question of license or no
license to be counted as decided for or against
the sale of spirituous, fermented or intoxicating
liquors or alcoholic bitters, shall have printed
or written on them the words "For the sale of

spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors
or alcoholic bitters," or "Against the sale of
spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors
or alcoholic bitters;" and the votes cast for
the sale of spirituous, fermented or intoxi-
cating liquors or alcoholic bitters, and the
votes cast against the sale of spirituous, fer-
mented or intoxicating liquors or alcoholic
fitters, shall be carefully counted and certi-
fied to by the Judges of said Election; and
that said Judges shall make a written return
of such vote to the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Worcester county within two days after
the close of said polls, and said Clerk shall
record said returns among the records of his
office; and if it shall appear that a majority
of the votes cast as aforesaid are against the
sale of spirituous, fermented or intoxicating
liquors or alcoholic bitters, then the Clerk of

Proclamation.
|
said Court shall prepare a certificate proclaim-
ing the result of such election in said town of
Bishopville, and cause a copy of said certifi-
cate to be posted in each of three places in
said town within seven days after the returns
have been received by him.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners of Bishopville shall appoint three of
the said legal voters of said town of Bishop-

Clerks.

ville, who shall act as Judges of said Election
and two of said legal voters of said town who
shall act as Clerks at said Election, which said
Judges of Election shall before proceeding to
act, take an oath before some Justice of the
Peace for Worcester county, to allow all per-
sons to vote who are qualified under the said
act, entitled an act to incorporate the town of

Make oath.
|
Bishopville, Worcester county, and to refuse
the votes of all persons who are not so quali-
fied, and also to faithfully and impartially
perform all the duties of said office; and said
