SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That no gas com-
panies chartered in any other counties of the
State shall have the right to lay mains or sell
gas in said Baltimore city, Baltimore county
or Anne Arundel county.

Repeal.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all acts or
parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions
of this act be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.

Effective.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 385.

AN ACT to repeal chapter three hundred and
fifty-four of the acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January ses-
sion eighteen hundred and seventy-six, pro-
viding for maintaining and keeping in repair
the public roads of Anne Arundel county,
and to enact the following in lieu thereof,
and to repeal all laws inconsistent there-
with, so far as the same apply to Anne Arun-
del county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the act of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the Jan-

the same is hereby repealed, and the follow-
