licenses granted shall otherwise conform to
the provisions of article fifty-six (56) of the
Code of Public General Laws of this State, reg-
ulating the issuing of licenses as in force in
said city prior to operation of said Local Option
Law.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from, the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 384.

AN ACT to prevent the formation of Gas
Companies in Baltimore city, Baltimore
county or Anne Arundel county, under art-
icle twenty-six of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, or under any other Statute, and
to repeal section thirty of said article twen-
ty-six, so far as the same relates or applies
to said Baltimore city, Baltimore county, or
Anne Arundel county, except as to the city
of Annapolis.
