SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 343.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county to provide a
station house or lock up in the Thirteenth
Election District, at Mount Winans.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to erect
or to rent a suitable building, to be located at
or near Mount Winans, in the Thirteenth Elec-
tion District of Baltimore county, to be used

for the temporary detention of persons who
may be arrested by the County Police, or com-
mitted by a Justice of the Peace; provided,
the cost of said building, if erected, shall not
exceed the sum of one thousand dollars; and
the County Commissioners are authorized to
make such regulations for the keeping of said
station house for the detention of persons
therein, and for their removal to the county
Jail, as may be necessary and proper.
