sixty-six, sixty-seven, sixty-eight, sixty-nine,

Repealed.

seventy, seventy- one, seventy-two and seventy-
three of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
" Cecil County," sub-title " County Commis-
sioners," as enacted by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-two, chapter one hundred and
seventy-three, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and the following sections enacted in
lieu thereof :

SECTION 61 . The County Commissioners of Cecil
county shall, at their regular meeting in the
month of April in each year, appoint some per-

whose duty it shall be to collect and disburse,
upon the order of said Commissioners, all taxes
levied in Cecil county, and shall assess all new
or missed property in said county, and for
this purpose he is hereby clothed with all the
powers possessed by Collectors of Taxes under
the provisions of the Code of Public General
Laws; and the said Treasurer may appoint
one or more Deputies, who shall be authorized
to act in his place, for whose acts he shall
be responsible and to whom he may pay

such compensation as he shall deem proper,
to be deducted from his salary; and he shall
receive an annual salary of fifteen hundred
dollars, twenty-five cents each for assessments
of real and personal property, and five cents
per head for all dogs and bitches returned
by him to the Commissioners and ordered by
them to be entered on the books of their
office; and the said Treasurer shall execute to
the State of Maryland two bonds, one of fif-
teen thousand dollars conditioned for the
proper collection and payment to the State
