HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR,

ing upon him; said bonds to be approved by
the County Commissioners and recorded in the
office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
said county.

SEC. 62. It shall be the duty of the Treas-
urer each year, as soon as the annual levy shall
have been made, to give public notice thereof,

by advertisement in not less than two news-
papers published in said county; and said
levy shall be due and payable on the first day
of September of the year in which it is made;
but there shall be allowed on all taxes paid
before the first day of September, a discount
of five per cent.; before the first day of Octo-
ber, a discount of four per cent., and before
the first day of November, a discount of three
per cent.; and in the month of August, the Treas-
urer shall sit for two days at the principal town
in each election district, and in the months of
September and October, one day, for the pur-
pose of receiving taxes, due notice of which
sittings shall be given by the said Treasurer; and
the said Treasurer shall report to the County
Commissioners at their regular meeting, on the
second Tuesday in each month, the amount of
taxes of all kinds received by him up to tha't
date, the amount of disbursements made and
the balance remaining, in his hands; and the
said Treasurer shall deposit at the close of
each week in banks designated by the County
Commissioners, all moneys that may have
come into his hands during said week, the
portion belonging to the State, to the credit
of the Comptroller of the State Treasury, and
that belonging to the county to the credit of
Cecil county, and shall receive therefor from
