131. Any person keeping any horse, mare,
gelding, mule or horned cattle or vehicle at

Hold cattle,&c.
|
livery in Baltimore county, under his or her
care, may retain the same in his or her custody
until all charges for so keeping shall be paid
by the owner or owners thereof.
132. Any person keeping any horse, mare,
gelding, inule or horned cattle or vehicle in
said county, may state an account for keeping
said horse, mare, gelding, mule, horned cattle

sell.

or vehicle, and prove the same before any Jus-
tice of the Peace for said county, and said Jus-
tice being satisfied by proof of demand, refusal
or neglect to pay on the part of the owner or
owners, shall thereupon issue his warrant au-
thorizing the sale of such horse, mare, gelding,
mule, horned cattle or vehicle.
133. And upon receiving such warrant, the
said keeper may sell such horse, mare, gelding,
mule, horned cattle or vehicle at public auc-
tion, at some public place, in said county, after

May sell.

giving ten days' notice in one paper published
in Baltimore county, and hand-bills set up in
the vicinity of such sale, of the time and place
and manner of sale, and after deducting the
amount due for keeping and all expenses of said
sale, shall pay the surplus, if any, to the owner
or owners thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
