for the prompt payment of the principal and
interest of the said bonds, and shall provide
the mode and manner in which such payment
shall be made, the said taxes to be levied and
collected as other taxes in said county are

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That a majority
of said County Commissioners are hereby em-
powered to vote the stock subscribed for, by

holders of the Delaware and Chesapeake Rail-
way, in such manner and subject to such reso-
lutions and conditions as the private stock-
holders in said company are or may be au-
thorized to vote their individual stock.

Effective.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 293.

AN ACT to provide for the appointment of
Boards of School Commissioners for Prince
George's, Charles, Caroline and Montgomery
counties.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section six of
article twenty-seven of the Code of Public
General Laws, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, as far as it relates to Prince George's,
Charles, Caroline and Montgomery counties,
and the following enacted in lieu thereof :

Governor to
appoint.

SEC. 2. The Governor, by and with the ad-
vice and consent of the Senate, shall, at every
regular session of the General Assembly, begin-
ning with the session of eighteen hundred and
eighty-six, appoint three persons in each of the
following counties, namely, Prince George's,
