HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

Charles, Caroline and Montgomery counties,
who shall constitute a Board of School Com-
missioners for their respective counties.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Board of
County School Commissioners created by this
act, shall succeed to all the rights, privileges
and duties of the Board of County School
Commissioners in existence in the same coun-

ties prior to the first day of May, eighteen
hundred and eighty-six; and the Boards so
created shall bear the same relation to the
State Board of Education, and shall be bound
by all the regulations of the said State Board
of Education as is now the case with the
other County School Boards in this State.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Boards
of County School Commissioners in office in
Prince George's, Charles, Caroline and Mont-

gomery counties, shall, on the first day of May,
eighteen hundred and eighty-six, turn over
and deliver to the Boards created by this act,
all papers, documents, books and all other
property in their possession as School Commis-
sioners, or in the hands of the Secretary, Treas-
urer, and Examiner of the said Boards.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the term of
office of the Boards of County School Commis-
sioners created by this act, shall be for two
years from the first day of May in every second
year, beginning with the year eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-six, and until their successors
in office shall have been appointed and shall
qualify.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
