CHAPTER 34.
AN ACT to amend the act of Assembly, passed
January session, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty-six, chapter one hundred and thirty,
which is an act amendatory of the act in-
corporating the Woodberry Manufacturing
Company of Baltimore county, passed Jan-
uary session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, chapter four hundred and sixty-three.
WHEREAS by the first section of the act of

eighteen hundred and seventy-six, chapter one
hundred and thirty, it was provided that said
corporation was thereby authorized and em-
powered at any time, and from time to time
thereafter, by a vote of the stockholders at a
meeting called for the purpose, to increase the
number of its directors; provided, however,
the whole number shall never exceed seven
besides the President; and
WHEREAS it is deemed more convenient and

proper for the management of the affairs of
said corporation, that there shall be a fixed
limit upon the number of said directors who
shall manage said corporation; therefore,
SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section one of the
|

re-enacted.

act of eighteen hundred and seventy-six chap-
ter one hundred and thirty, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to
read as follows, to wit: The Woodberry Manu-
facturing Company of Baltimore county be and
the same is hereby authorized and empowered
at any time, and from time to time hereafter,
by a vote of the stockholders, at a meeting
called for that purpose, to increase the number
of its directors; provided, however, the whole
number shall be five, no more and no less, one
of whom shall be President; and on the first
Monday in March next succeeding any such
vote, so enlarging the number of Directors to
