the amount of bond, rate of compensation
and prescribe the duties respectively of said
Bailiff and Treasurer; all property within the
limits of Westernport, or that may have a
situs there, by reason of the .residence of the
owner therein, except as hereinafter provided,
shall be taxed for municipal purposes, and
the assessment for town purposes shall be the
same as that for State and county purposes.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That all ordinances
heretofore passed by the Commissioners and
now in force, and not in conflict with this act,
are hereby continued in force until the same
are repealed or modified.
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That all fines
and forfeitures imposed by the ordinances of
the Commissioners, shall be imposed by the

said President or any Justice of the Peace of
Allegany county upon a warrant to be issued,
directed to the said Bailiff or any Policeman,
and the person convicted in default of pay-
ment may be committed to the Jail of Alle-
gany county, or any other place provided by
the Commissioners.

Collect fines.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That all laws in-
consistent with this act be repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
