CHAPTER 270.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claim of John Sands, late of the city of
Annapolis, deceased, for services as night
watchman of the buildings within the State
House enclosure.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of
the Treasury be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrant upon the

To pay.

Treasurer, to pay Emily Sands and Sarah Sands
and James Sands, of Annapolis, Maryland, sur-
viving sisters and heirs-at-law of John Sands,
deceased, the sum of six hundred dollars for
services rendered to the State of Maryland by
the said John Sands in his lifetime, as night
watchman of the buildings within the State
House enclosure, for the years eighteen hun-
dred and seventy and eighteen hundred and
seventy-one, the general appropriation acts for
those years having omitted to make the usual
and proper appropriation for the same.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 271.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Trus-
tees of the Parsonage House of the German
Reformed Church, in Emmitsburg, to convey
the said property by deed to the Corpora-
tion of the Church of the Incarnation at
Emmitsburg.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That Samuel Motter, J.
