SEC. 8. It shall be the duty of the Constables

before a Magistrate for trial or hearing, as pro-
vided in this act, and any Constable failing to
perform his duty herein as aforesaid, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and on indictment
and conviction shall be subject to such penalty
as the Court may impose.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 245.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County
School Commissioners of Prince George's
county to appropriate the sum of five hun-
dred dollars, for the purpose of building a
School House for white children, at or near
Melwood, in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County School
Commissioners of Prince George's county be

lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
out of the fund for the support of white schools
for Prince George's county, for the purpose of
building a School House for white children at
