SEC. 193. The Sheriff of Baltimore county
shall be allowed two dollars and fifty cents a
day for each day he shall attend the Circuit
Court for Baltimore county, in person or by
deputy, when said Court is actually in session,
and shall be entitled to charge and receive the
sum of forty cents per day for keeping and
boarding each prisoner committed to or con-
fined in the jail of said county, and the County
Commissioners of said county shall furnish all
the fuel necessary for the heating of the county

jail and the house thereto attached, as well as
for the preparing and cooking the food for the
prisoners confined in said jail, and shall also
pay for the coal already contracted for and
bought by the present Sheriff of the county
for the purposes aforesaid before the passage
of this bill; and such further compensation
for serving bench warrants, attachments, State
warrants and conveying and removing prison-
ers and performing extra duty as may seem
to said County Commissioners of said county
a fair and reasonable compensation for such
services.

Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this
act shall take effect from the date of its pas-
sage.
