hundred and fifty-four, to incorporate the Bal-
timore Baptist Church Extension Society, be
and the same is hereby repealed and the fol-
lowing is enacted in lieu thereof, so as to make
section four of the original act to read as
follows :
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the officers
of the said Society shall be a President, Vice-
President, Secretary and Treasurer, and not less
than nine nor more than fifteen Directors,
who must be members of regular Baptist
Churches, a majority from Baltimore city, all
or whom shall constitute an Executive Com-
mittee, and shall be chosen annually and hold
office until their successors are elected; any
member of a regular Baptist Church paying
to the Society the sum of five hundred dollars

at any one time, shall, however, be a member
of the Executive Committee for life; that the
said Committee shall have power to promote
the objects of the said Society and carry out
its plans, and generally to do the work thereof
as authorized and directed by a vote of the
said Society; and the said Committee shall be
empowered to fill all vacancies which may
occur in its members, and shall make a full
report of its proceedings at the annual meet-
ings of the Society.
