Proclamation.

ascertained and returned to the Clerk of said
Circuit Court by the Judges of said Election
that a majority of said votes were cast in favor
of "stock law," then the said Clerk shall im-
mediately make proclamation of said result
by notice in one newspaper published within
said county, for one week, and ten days
after said proclamation this law shall go into
effect in that part of Fork District specified in
this act; and all acts or parts of acts incon-
sistent with this act are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 198.
AN ACT to amend the. charter of the Phila-
delphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad
Company, so far as relates to the obligation
of said company to provide for travel over
the Susquehanna river.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section two of the
act of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chap-
ter three hundred and thirty-five, entitled an

act to amend the charter of the Philadelphia,
Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad Company,
by repealing so much of the act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-
three, chapter one hundred and thirty-eight,
as requires said company in building a bridge
over the Susquehanna river, to provide for
the general travel and transportation other
than by the railway, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows :
