CHAPTER 192.
AN ACT to provide for the proper recording
and indexing by the County Surveyor of
Frederick county, of all surveys of land in
said county, and to authorize and require the
County Commissioners of said county to pay
to the County Surveyor, in instalments, the
annual salary of five hundred dollars.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Sur-
veyor of Frederick county be and he is hereby
authorized and required to make out a com-

plete record of all surveys of land in Fred-
erick county, now on file in his office, and all
surveys made hereafter by said County Sur-
veyor, and all surveys made by private sur-
veyors that may be brought to him for record,
in well-bound record books, to be procured by
him at his own expense.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said
County Surveyor shall make out and keep a
complete index of all surveys recorded, or to
be hereafter recorded in his office, in well-bound
books, to be procured at his own expense.
