LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That whenever so re-
quested, he shall record all surveys made by
private surveyors upon payment to him at the

rate of ten cents for every one hundred words,
and shall make copies or abstracts of surveys
from his records, whenever the same shall be
demanded, upon payment to him of the like
sum of ten cents per one hundred words; pro-
vided, that no such charge shall be made when
such copies or abstracts shall be called for
by the Circuit Court, the Orphans' Court or the
County Commissioners of said county.

To pay.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Frederick county be and
they are hereby authorized and required to pay
to the said County Surveyor as salary, the an-
nual sum of three hundred dollars in quarterly
instalments of seventy-five dollars each.

Effective.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 193.

AN ACT to incorporate the Trustees of the
Baltimore Annual Conference of the Metho-
dist Episcopal Church.

WHEREAS it has been represented that the
Preachers comprising the Baltimore Annual
Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church,
