ful for any person or persons to take, capture
or destroy fish in the waters of Talbot county,
from Benoni's Point to Black Walnut Point ;
thence to Poplar Island; thence to Bennet's
Point, in Queen Anne's county, including the
waters of Wye and Miles rivers, and in Island
creek, by seines, drag-nets, set-nets, fish-baskets,
fish-pots, weirs, pound-nets, fykes, or any other
means or contrivance whatsoever, which is
now known or used in the capturing or des-
troying of fish, or which may hereafter be
invented for that purpose, except as herein-
after provided for.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be
lawful to catch fish in the above described
waters by what is known as gill-nets, and with

hook and line, and that the hauling of seines
be allowed from the twentieth day of August
to the first day of May; provided, that the
meshes of such seines are in the bar not less
than one and one-quarter inches.
SEC 3. And be it enacted, That any person
or persons who may violate the provisions of

Seines, &c.
|

|
this act, shall, upon conviction thereof before
any Justice of the Peace for said county, be
fined for each and every offence the sum of
twenty-five dollars, and to stand committed in
the county Jail until the fine and costs are paid.
