CHAPTER 168.

AN ACT supplemental to an act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty, chapter four hundred and forty-four,
entitled "An act to incorporate the Balti-
more and Hall's Springs Railway Company,"
and authorizing a transfer of the franchises
and property of the said company to the Bal-
timore City Passenger Railway Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Baltimore and
Hall's Springs Railway Company may assign
and convey its rights, franchises and property
to the Baltimore City Passenger Railway Com-

pany, which shall thereupon have and be en-
titled to exercise all the rights, powers, privi-
leges and franchises conferred or authorized
by the charter of the said Baltimore and Hall's
Springs Railway Company, subject to the obli-
gations of the said last-mentioned company ;
provided, that such assignment shall receive
the assent or ratification of a majority of the
stockholders of each of the said companies at
any general meeting thereof.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this
act shall take effect from the date of its pass-
age.
