CHAPTER 110.

AN ACT to extend the time of Elijah B.
Prettyman, late Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Montgomery county, to complete the
business of his said office, unfinished at the
close of his official term of office.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That Elijah B. Pretty-
man, late Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Montgomery county shall be allowed further

time until the first day of December, eighteen
hundred and eighty-six, to complete the busi-
ness of his said office, unfinished at the close
of his term of office on the first day of Decem-
ber, eighteen hundred and eighty-five, and
shall have during that period a right, on re-
ceipting therefor to his successor, to all need-
ful papers, in order to enable him to complete
and finish his business.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 111.

AN ACT to change the name of the "Thomas
Mining Company," and to amend the charter
of said company, (by repealing sections two
and three of the acts of General Assembly,
passed at the session of eighteen hundred
and seventy-eight, chapter four hundred and
nine, and re-enacting said section two with
amendments), and for other purposes con-
nected therewith.
